weekend update
Summer weekends always seem to be great, and this was no exception. Some highlights:
I went back to brunette.
Checked on the tiny bird’s nest we found a few weeks ago and had a cute little surprise.
Made fruity margaritas.
Ate an absolutely outrageous amount of sushi.
Enjoyed a late-night fire with my dad (this is something we do a lot).

I spent a lovely evening out with some of my most favorite people a few nights ago. We started out the night by trying a new Thai & Sushi restaurant in town, which was surprisingly delicious. Combine that with great company, and it turned out to be a night to remember!

little things lately
I’m trying to take more time to slow down—we all know how I’m always going a million miles an hour—and appreciate some of the little things I encounter each day. I must admit, this is the best kind of goal, because my means of achieving it have been taking long walks and laying around a lot. Sounds like a perfect way to spend the summer!

I had a wonderful weekend. Some highlights:
A shopping outing down in Fort Collins provided some wonderful photo ops—the ones above and below are from my favorite interior design store.

Even though today was dreary as could be when I headed off to work, a lot of little things brought a smile to my face. Here are a few of them.
Nothing cheers a girl up like a good pair of shoes.
A quick mid-morning coffee break.
Afternoon snack: juicy ruby red grapefruit. Bonus: the kitchen at work is adorably vintage. Cheers me up each time I walk inside.

Today I just relaxed with my family all day, and it was so nice to not have anything on my to-do list (which doesn’t happen very often)!
Topped it all off with a beautiful sunset.
I am absolutely ADORING summer so far :)
The much awaited weekend has finally arrived, and it’s already exceeded my expectations. Today, I spent most of the day outside and now unfortunately resemble a freshly boiled lobster. I stretched out on a blanket on the grass with a big book and the puppy, and relaxed the afternoon away. Lovely.
